Requirements
- Experience with painting equipment and techniques.
- Understand a variety of paints such as flats, semi-gloss, oil based and water based and appropriate tools.
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions, including occasionally reading finish schedules on issued site construction drawings.
- Physical requirements include bending, stooping, climbing, and more.
- Ability to lift weights of 50 lbs.

Commercial Painter / Apprentice
Full-Time Position, M-F, 7 AM to 3:30 PM with optional OT and occasional weekend work
- Qualifications:
- Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Be able to lift 40+ pounds
- Have experience on Boom and Scissors lifts and the ability to work at heights of 26 feet plus
- Have experience with airless sprayers (preferred)
- 1+ years of experience preferred
- Responsibilities:
- Be able to follow directions from Crew Lead and Field Supervisor to complete jobs efficiently
- Be willing to work hard, gain experience and improve daily
- Use common sense to provide the customer with an enjoyable experience
Experience is preferred but BCP, LLC is willing to train the right team member.
Crew Lead
Full-Time Position, M-F, 7 AM to 3:30 PM with optional OT and occasional weekend work
- Qualifications:
- Be a hard-working goal-oriented leader who is willing to learn and share the BCP, LLC way
- Be able to read construction plans
- Be able to effectively communicate with both painters and project managers
- 3+ years of painting experience
- Experience running jobs, setting daily goals, and communicating with customers
- Responsibilities:
- Set and discuss daily and weekly goals with painting crews
- Be able to provide painters with on-site job training
- Become a member of the team, instructing, guiding, training, and working alongside crews
- Follow all BCP, LLC standard operating procedures
- This is a working Crew Lead position so you must be able to lead a crew, run a job and still be productive working on the job
Bookkeeper
Full-Time Position, M-F, 7 AM to 3:30 PM with optional OT and occasional weekend work
- Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of bookkeeping/accounting experience, preferably in a small business or construction environment.
- Solid understanding of AP/AR, job costing, and basic accounting principles.
- Experience with QuickBooks and spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets).
- High attention to detail and accuracy, and comfortable working with a high volume of transactions.
- Strong follow-through and comfort making polite, professional collection calls/emails.
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently once trained.
- Strong integrity and discretion when handling financial information.
- Responsibilities:
- Enter and track vendor invoices and bills.
- Match bills to jobs and purchase orders when applicable.
- Generate and send customer invoices in a timely manner.
- Allocate expenses to the correct jobs and cost codes.
- Help ensure that job costs are accurate and current throughout the life of the project.
- Prepare basic financial and job cost reports for the owner and leadership team.
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due invoices.
- Professionally and persistently contact customers regarding overdue payments
- Coordinate with the owner on collection strategies when needed.
- Assist with processing payroll information and ensuring accuracy.
- Help administer 401(k) deductions and contributions.
- Work within QuickBooks and our Airtable-based internal systems
- Help streamline and improve accounting workflows as we continue to grow and integrate our software tools.

Project Manager
Full-Time Position, M-F, 7 AM to 3:30 PM
- Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of construction management experience is required (painting or related trades preferred).
- Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, coordination, and jobsite logistics.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, you can juggle multiple projects without dropping details
- Clear, professional communication skills with clients, crews, and trade partners.
- Confident using project management and documentation tools (Google Workspace; experience with CompanyCam, Airtable, or similar systems is a plus).
- Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to think ahead, not just react.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to walk job sites, climb ladders/lifts as needed, and work in active construction environments.
- Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans, scope, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with general contractors, owners, and subcontractors before and during projects.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on your projects.
- Monitor hours, material costs, and equipment expenses.
- Provide regular updates, manage expectations, and handle change orders.
- Track job performance and profitability throughout the project.
- Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to hit deadlines.
- Ensure adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and Blair quality standards.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to verify quality and scope.
- Identify potential issues early and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Maintain accurate project documentation (contracts, change orders, progress reports).
- Use Blair's software tools (CompanyCam, Airtable-based platforms, Google Workspace, etc.) to keep everything updated.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
Sales Estimator/Project Manager - Madison
Full-Time Position, M-F, 7 AM to 3:30 PM (hybrid: home office + field)
- Qualifications:
- Experience in construction project management and/or estimating (3 or more years is strongly preferred).
- Comfortable walking commercial/industrial sites and learning how to measure and evaluate painting scopes.
- Strong interpersonal skills, you like working with people, and can communicate clearly with clients and crews.
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage your own schedule from a home office while being in the field most days.
- Tech-comfortable: able to use CompanyCam (or similar), Google Workspace, and database/PM tools (Airtable or similar).
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly around the Madison region.
- Responsibilities:
- Coordinate schedules, crews, and equipment for Madison-area projects.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
- Oversee commercial painting projects from award through completion.
- Walk through buildings and industrial spaces to measure walls, ceilings, trim, structural steel, etc.
- Take detailed notes and photos using CompanyCam and traditional field notes.
- Work with our internal estimating tools and support team to build accurate estimates and proposals.
- Follow up on leads generated through existing platforms and relationships (no heavy cold-calling "boiler room" sales).
- Present proposals, explain scope and value, and support negotiations to win work.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, facility managers, and other decision-makers.
- Use our Airtable-based systems and other software to keep information organized and visible to the team.
- Collaborate closely with ownership, production, and estimating support.
